System Requirements and Troubleshooting Guide

System Requirements

 

Please share and review the following tech requirements with your IT administration:


 

  • Adjust any firewall or other security softwares that may have our website, www.thegetreadyproject.com, and it’s videos blocked from proper viewing. 

  • Make sure you have the latest version of Flash on your computers, or use a browser with native HTML5 support.

  • Verify your browser is on our list of supported browsers and is updated to the latest version.

  • Verify that your internet connection meets the minimum required upload bandwidth of 5 Mbps for our videos to stream, via either a hardwired connection via Ethernet, or Wifi. 

  • If possible, disable VPN connections that may mask your computer’s true geographic location.

Issues Viewing the Portal or Videos

 

If you are experiencing any issues accessing our portal or viewing our content, please first verify the above system requirements with your IT administration. If the above system requirements have been verified, please review the following checklist so we can confirm if this is a local issue or not:

  1. Clear your browser's cache and cookies.

  2. Update your browser to the latest version. Also, verify your browser is on our list of supported browsers

  3. Try to recreate the issue on different browsers and see if it still happens.

  4. Disable all of your browser add-ons (extensions and plugins) for the duration of the troubleshoot. 

  5. Disable any anti-virus software for the duration of the troubleshoot. 

  6. Try a different computer.

  7. Try a different internet connection.

If after following the steps above, you can still recreate the issue,  please send a screenshot of the Developer Tools view of your site from Google Chrome. If you do not have Google Chrome, you can download it here. To take a screenshot of the Developer Tools view:

​

  1. Open your site in a Google Chrome incognito window (Ctrl + Shift + N).

  2. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + J (on PC) or Cmd + Option + J (on Mac).

  3. Click the Console tab at the top of the panel and refresh the page (F5).

  4. Navigate to the page on the site where the issue occurs and take any action necessary to recreate the issue.

  5. Take a screenshot of what you see on the Console tab.

  6. Click the Network tab at the top of the panel and take the action again

  7. Take a screenshot of what you see on the Network tab and submit an email HERE with a description of what you’re experiencing. Please also include a screenshot of any error messages you may be receiving.
